Hello there, friend!
I'm so honored to have you in my space! .
I'm calling this an online "mental birth class" because we go through physical birth classes to prepare our bodies for labor, but what about our minds? Who can prepare our minds for pregnancy and labor? Our bodies will heal from whatever labor or interventions it may go through if we are unprepared, but our hearts? That's a completely separate healing process and personally hearing women's birth trauma stories has opened my eyes and broken my heart.
We need to do better.
I'm here to help you, Mama.
Take a deep breath.
Whether this is your first time having a baby and you are beyond freaked out, or this is your second or third and you want to heal from birth trauma to welcome this baby more peacefully, these words are for you!
For the next 12 weeks I will be posting a blog and making content on my Instagram (@vaughtfam) discussing the common fears we are presented with during pregnancy, labor and postpartum and how we can take a deep breath and reject those "typical" feelings and embrace joy and peace! This is also a community space where we can strengthen and encourage one another when we are too weak to carry on!
Beautiful Mama
The first four weeks we will go over wars waged on our hearts and minds during pregnancy. That collection will be called, "Beautiful Mama", because it will be so easy to forget that you are unbelievably breathtaking carrying life inside of you. That's when we will address the lies spoken to us from the enemy and we will put him back in his place and remind ourselves that his lies have no room in our hearts.
Strong Mama
The second four weeks we will go overs wars waged over our hearts and minds during labor and delivery. These topics will be heavy because this is one of the biggest areas of failure a mama can feel:
"I needed an epidural after all,"
"My baby didn't drop,"
"My body wouldn't progress,"
"I needed a cesarean,"
"I'm a failure, I'm a failure, I'm a failure,"
S T O P
Girl.
Let's break off those nasty lies and find freedom in Jesus' name! Let's put your heart back together and take a deep breath. You are so strong!
Joyful Mama
The last four weeks we will discuss the wars waged over our hearts and minds during postpartum.
Depression, anxiety, rage, blues, you name it. Let's dig in deep and hold each other close as we cry or yell or whatever we are feeling and lift each other up in prayer and find joy in Jesus during these hormonal and sleepless moments. (or weeks or months.)
Mama,
If you are really struggling, you are not alone.
You will laugh again, you will dance again. Your heart will be put back together, it is not owned by fear.
Mama,
If you are really anxious and fearful of the pain or depression you might experience over the next 9+ months, you are not alone.
God has called me to help you show Satan the door so together we can call on the Cross and find freedom over the thoughts waged on your mind and heart!
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
Two are better than one,
Because they have a good return for their labor:
If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.
But pity the one who falls and no one is there to help them up.
Also, if two lie down together, they can keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not easily broken.
Let's stand together so that if one of us falls we can lift each other up!
Love,
Hosanna
